A Path of Knowledge and Wisdom

A common trait among experienced meditators and yogis is the evolution of human behavior and the significant and healthy transformation of personality.

A serene mind is fundamental to developing a correct understanding of the circumstances and events we experience, a meditative stability that we can develop by accessing those ancestral techniques and practices of attention most suitable for each person’s personality and circumstances, thus enabling oneself with skillful means for the development of valid cognition. Distancing oneself from desires and granting oneself the opportunity to reflect on them, anchored in the development of ethics in favor of the common good, is the ground for strengthening critical thinking and good judgment on a path of uncertainty, difficulties, and doubts.

More details

From the altruistic aspect of Buddhism, the tradition represented by the life ideal of bodhisattvas stands out particularly, a way of life characterized by a clear social commitment, where the lay meditator has a prominent role and protagonism in the development of society.

From the perspective of this tradition, the training field is not an isolated place to take definitive refuge. It is a path towards excellence where all mundane aspects are integrated and mastered within reasonable limits within the community and social project that welcomes us.

The general and specific competencies that we can find in any of the mental trainings preserved by the different Buddhist traditions and schools are precisely formulated in correspondence with the different stages of learning in meditation.
