The Institute of Consciousness aims to study, research, and teach contemplative sciences, philosophy, and social sciences to contribute to the human, social, and scientific education of individuals fully aware of their responsibility in developing the common good in society.
Cultivating our inner peace means caring for our personal nature, our body, our mind, and our consciousness; it means staying in our center from where and in which we can healthily develop all areas and aspects of life, from where we can overcome difficulties and solve real problems.
Our personal nature is part of the planet, of social nature, and of the community that welcomes us. We are part of the welfare society to which we all aspire. Learning to relate systemically as a medium, in harmony with society and the order of the universe, is evolution; it is learning in the reciprocity of a triple benefit: Personal, Social, and Economic. People, Life, and Planet.
Concerned about the global problems and challenges of humanity and the planet in a clearly interdependent world, and being aware of the global dimension of human behavior, we consider it essential to address them from their roots. We proclaim that the true challenge of society is the development of people in a meaningful and healthy philosophy of life for the well-being of all.
Examining human problems without prejudice or fear of any kind requires an intelligent understanding of life and independent thinking free from rewards and environmental pressures. Education should cultivate a global vision of life, stimulate the intellectual and spiritual emancipation of people, and promote a social awareness of care and cooperation among people for a common good in a culture of peace.
The future of humanity fundamentally depends on education and its ideals of life. Inspired by the Wisdom of the Middle Way, the Skillful Means of Meditation Sciences and Social Sciences, at the Institute of Consciousness, our mission is to research, design, guide, and train in an educational ideal capable of liberating the genuine potential of people.
Sustainable peace can be developed on a path of knowledge and wisdom that practices the four highest states of consciousness of the mind: benevolence, compassion, altruism, and equanimity. Science plays a key role in the development of education and people’s lives; attesting to the truthfulness of knowledge contributes to real progress for people.
