Learn to Meditate Program

Training in the art of living for a more meaningful and healthy life

Attracted by the benefits of meditation practiced for thousands of years by ancient contemplative sciences, new fields of study and research are providing scientific evidence on the importance of cultivating the mind through meditation.

Our desire has always been to ensure access to the sources of transcendence from the Buddhist tradition, and to keep alive the transmission of thought and meditation systems from the Sakya tradition through direct experimentation as it has been preserved for 2600 years.

To successfully acquire the habit of meditation in our lives, it is essential that we start from the beginning and avoid the temptation to take shortcuts in the path of training our mind.

We should not underestimate the importance of the foundations of meditation; these are the foundations upon which we can build our life project with minimal guarantees and maintain balance and loyalty to ourselves in the face of environmental pressure and social conventions.
  • Understand the original meaning and scope of classical contemplative sciences
  • Become aware of the harmful effects of overstimulation
  • Consider the suitability of meditation practice in the student’s life
  • Develop the habit of meditation in harmony with all aspects of life

We will approach the study and practice of meditation true to the original purpose of contemplative traditions from a secular and modern perspective that is useful for resolving obstacles and difficulties in our daily lives with the necessary tools and greater knowledge.

We will base our approach on one of the most appreciated systems of thought and meditation in Buddhism, the three higher trainings of the mind, transmitted thanks to four excellent supports;

  1. a tradition that dates back to 1073 in ancient Tibet,
  2. lineage masters with over forty years of experience in the transmission and practice of the teaching
  3. a community that cares for people, life, and the planet,
  4. and, a spiritual home, the monastery, with exceptional conditions that help us remember who we truly are and what is truly important in life.

The teaching becomes effective with these supports through a methodology that combines the ancient oral transmission of masters with dynamics of individual reflection and study and practice groups formed by students and coordinated by the faculty in the development of a training cycle.

The training cycle develops gradually over five months, organized into five monthly modules. Each module begins with an in-person training day for those who choose the in-person or live remote mode, providing flexibility for those who have difficulties in their schedule or impediments due to distance.

After the first block of content and practice is delivered, the student develops both daily meditation practice and the process of individual and group reflection over the following weeks of the month through the didactic and digital resources provided in the virtual campus.

The next edition begins in September 2025.

  • In-person and remote
  • 5 full-day sessions
  • 4 online group sessions with a teacher
  • 4 online sessions to clarify doubts with the Masters
  • 33 teaching hours
  • Garraf Monastery (possibility of remote attendance)
  • Live study and practice group
  • Recordings available on Virtual Campus for viewing during the training

All our Training Plans are taught in Spanish.

This training is ideal for anyone interested in developing their life with a sense of community coexistence, that is, in society, motivated by elevating social consciousness towards excellence for the common good, regardless of whether they have no prior experience in meditation or have some knowledge and experience in different traditions or personal growth approaches.
